As Ashman mentioned, Family Guy is also really great. I own the compendium and was watching "Love thy Trophy" of series one last night. Some memorable quotes:

I've got all the series 'cept for number 10. Best American series ever. The best British Series is close between Coupling and Father Ted, or maybe Black Books. Its sooo hard to decide...

Friends, although again with the exception of Series 10, which is pretty poor (except for the Danny DeVito episode, which I thought was excellent)
Blackadder, easily. Everything else is midly funny, while Blackadder is hernia-inducing.
