Hi everyone,

I think I'm pretty clued-up about computers, however there's something I just can't get my head round.

I have a Radeon 9800 (as in the non-pro, non-SE - the crap one, basically). I used to get a stable framerate of 62~ when playing MOH:SH (With Graphics Card settings in ATi's control panel to full, in-game settings on full, 1024x768). However, I Overclocked it to 9800Pro speeds, and, guess what, it's still at 62.

I can't for the life of me work out why this is.

Any help, please?

Thanks,

Chipseh

Aha, of course.

I've turned it off now. If I start to experience cutting I'll turn it back on.

And yes, I've overclocked the memory a lot more than the GPU.

Vertical sync will be locking your framerate to equal your monitor refresh rate. That's why you won't be able to beat ~60Hz.

It's nothing to worry about.

As a side note, when overclockiing graphics card, you should aim for a higher memory speed in favour of a higher GPU speed.

Strange. I'll give Rage3d a try tomorrow when I can be bothered to go through the whol Overclocking process.

Rivatuner. I guess there was a better peformance, but not something that was noticeable. What program did you use CM?

What program did you use to overclock it?

Ive had experiences with some programs allowing me to change the numbers but not save the settings.

Have you seen an increase in 3dmark score?
