Games now seem like an endless sequence of FMV sequences that breaks up the game. Syphon filter 2 is a prime example, with at least 5 FMV sequences in the first 2 levels. At the right times they are appropriate, but when you see more FMV than playing the gaming, it seems mor logical to go out and buy a film. Games and FMV can work well, and dare I say it but wrestling games have it down to a tee. They oly have it at ring entrances and victories, when nobody really cares whats going on anyway. If I wanted to see consant SFX, then I'd go and see a film. Big comapnies seem to neglect the fact that gamers want games for gameplay, not FMV, licences, and plot, although they are needed if the game is to have any fluidity or point.
