Right, I suddenly find I have a virus in my system and since Norton Antivirus is complete tripe I have to destroy it manually. Now, I can't delete it because it is being used, so I go to CTRL ALT DEL and find out it is a process called "shellmon.exe". So I end it, but a second later it pops back up again. And again. Anger. So what can I do to kill this bitach? Do I have to go into the system reg or something?

RoJ does Norton tell you that it has failed to quaratine or clean the file? if so try running your machine in safe mode and running a scan with Norton, it should then clean the file or allow you to delete it.
Already done it but cheers anyway.
Right click "My Computer" and select "Properites". Select "System Restore" tab and go from there.
Useless.
