We used to have a 'cockle man' who travelled around the pubs in Chorley on a friday night ... sold trays of prawns with or without vinegar ... surprisingly good snack food when you've had a bit to drink ...

He also sold cockles and welchs(sp), urgh ... sandy ...

I hate eating things whole ie prawns. They are pretty flavoursome though.

Probably the only thing I can't stomach, aside from brains or something god awful like that, is eels, squid - slimy stuff like that. Just looks rank!!

Though I love me prawns ...

I like pheasant and squid. Obviously not together, that would be icky.

I imagine it's quite gristly ...

I've had Kangaroo in the Walkabout bar in Newquay ... was ok ... kinda like Chicken ... :)

I wonder as well... I've tried ostrich sausages, and they were certainly interesting. According to Jeremy Clarkson, all strange meat tastes like chicken, and as penguins are also birds, I guess there may be some similarity!
