when i was told about Kill Bill i was told that is was a very good film, although when buying the DVD I was very disapointed with the film i have to say that it is "Tarantino's" worst film evan worse than Jackie Brown. i didn't realy like all the sword fighting in it and the even the top blood just made it look like a childrens film. the only thing that reminded me that it was a Tarantino film was the jumping from time to time and going back in time.

Lets see what others think about the film now that you have heard my opinion.

Kill Bill 2 is the let down.

I thought it was a good film, way better than most things in the cinema.

When I shot my friend Paul in the head it wasn't nearly as bloody as that.

He laughed afterwards

The over-the-top violence was for comedic effect. If you've not noticed, Tarrintino used over the top violence in a humourous way in most films he writes or directs.

Think Pulp Fiction where they accidentally shoot the guy in the back of the car. Funny, yes. But unrealistically bloody.

Perhaps Kill Bill is a bit cartoony-esque but I beleive this is because it's plot is based partially around a Japanese anime (which generally are OTT).

Personally I liked the film mostly, but it's not the best of his movies. In fact I'd be inclined to agree with you that it is probably his worst movie. You can't totally criticise it though as it is not without it's charms.
