Hmm, it's not really a clear image seeing as he's crouched down.

What's so difficult about making someone a rubber suit? They've got a load of other films to research it from!

As it says, this is going the Frank Miller way of design, keeping to the comics... but that suit er, doesn't look much like the suit in Year One, I've read it.
But the point is, it's the FIRST Batsuit. You're Bruce Wayne, and you're insane, so you decide to become a Batman and kick ass at night. You're gonna want something that's a bit protective and still scary. And you can bet he'll redesign it later.
I dunno. It still looks odd, but it'll be nice to see it moving.
