X-Box win hands down. Better console, more up to date marketing attracting more potential gamers, not just kiddies, and definitely a larger variety of gameplay, with better graphics, FMV and DVD easily accessible and adding to the enjoyment of games, cheaper products, better peripherals, and a larger userbase.

What do you think?

US Launch is expected to be Autumn this year (six months?), so we could be looking at the end of this year or early next. April 2002 at the latest is my guess.

'everyday that you wait, the release increases two days.' I think that is what Bill Gates said

Small problem FM. There aren't that many biased X-Box lovers, and there aren't that many Sony fans. So this will probably be a quiet topic... :)

The X-Box is going to be more powerful than the PS2, yes. The games will be similar to the PC games, and as I don’t like PC games too much (apart from the ones that are on consoles) I don’t think I will be to keen on buying an X-Box.

I am perfectly happy with my PS2, and I know that it has got a bright future, so bright you will need sunglasses. PS2 will be better liked than the XB because not many people like Bill Gates.

I’m not saying the X-Box won’t become a great contender, because it will, and it will give Sony and Nintendo a run for their money. I am not going to get an XB on launch but if it appeals to me once the games start to roll in I may get one.

Then I can give you a totally unbiased view on both consoles.

As i haven't played XB yet, and have played PS2, I can say that PS2 wins hands down :-)

The PSX advertising was superb.

I'm not to sure about the PS2 adverts, but they do sponsor a lot of football matches, so it's not that bad.

Better than any other companies advertising so far.

Well, I'm against you on this one, FM. I'd go with Sony.

But PLEASE PLEASE PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE don't start this again, cos me and M16 are the only damn PS2 fans on FOG!!

Apart from Wookiee, but he doesn't like to argue, cos he's boring.
