"My Dreamcast !!!!"

Damn think died on me over the weekend ! :-( Thing is, getting it repaired will probably cost as much as buying a new one. So after thinking about it I'll probably sell the games and bits like the extra controller, mouse and keyboard to my friend and then put it all towards a PS2. I've been planning on getting one so it'll be stupid to fork out another £100 on another Dreamcast which isn't gonna be around for much longer anyway.

Luckily I have my Playstation 1 to keep me busy for now and I can play my Dynasty Warriors 2 PS2 game at a friends till I have my own console ;-)

Options are kinda limited for the moment though ! ::sniffle:: Oh well, 4 weeks and I'll have a PS2 (hopefully).

Its not so much that i'm getting rid of my DC. Its dead, it has ceased to be, it is an ex DC ! It will cost me £100 to replace and after doing that, only has a limited amount of life left in it. Not just that but besides having longer life in it, i can play my PS1 games on a PS2 and a lot of Sega titles are coming out on PS2 anyway.

The dreamasct still has better games comming out than the ps2,look at the evidence,shenmue 2,half life,headhunter,these will all kick the living daylights out ofd the ps2's lineup,apart from the fact that half life is comming out on the ps2,so it will quality on that as well.The ps2 has some brilliant games comming out like MGS2,gran turismo 3,final fantasy 10 etc,

Overall all the people who are thinkig about getting rid of their dc for the ps2,what is the point,you wont get alot for it and you will still be able to buy some ace games,get a ps2 like me when they cut the price,because if you have got a dvd player seperately,what is the point of paying a huge amount for a console.

Sorry i've been gone so long, things have been hectic so i've only been able to do a couple of messages on the dreamcast board - helping people beat certain parts of PSO ;-))

As for my decision, i'm leaning more towards a PS2 cause i'm a big fan of Metal Gear Solid and the sequal looks the dogs round and danglys ! ;-))

Not just that though. I've been enjoying my Dynasty Warriors 2 game and i'm a massive fan of Mech games (those big robots people pilot in games) ;-)
Got Front Mission 3 recently on my playstation - loadsa fun :-) And the PS2 has a number of Mech games out and on the way like Z.O.E, Ring of Red and Robot Warlords.
Plus of course games like F1, Onimusha, Age of Empires 2, Gran Turismo 3, etc. So i've started counting up games i'd like to get and the majority are PS2, so i'll get that and maybe get another console later when the new ones come out :-)

Still keep the PS2 of course ;-) I look forward to seeing me in your WWF thing Ant ;-)

If your tight on money, then i would suggest you get your DC repaired and wait for the Gamecube to be released. If you have £300 to spend, then yeah, get a PS2! If you don't like it by the end of this year, then obviosly the PS2 is not for you! However, I really doubt you will be feeling as though the Ps2 has let you down.
