You can have Banjos head on top of solid snakes body with ryos wicked jeans. The amount of things you can do at home os endless.I mean what is stopping you from cutting out your favourite charcters in your games mags and placing them on other bodies.IOt is great fun and is a well good laugh.
You can imagine your character in a game world and then think you are playing him.USE YOU IMAGINATION.the idea is cool and is real good fun to do.You watch i will get stick for saying this,But how cool would mario be with sonics spikes.A cool little guy i would say.
Basically, you have Lara Croft floating in mid air, hanging from her rear end which has 2 tails spinning like rotor blades!
You get a very funny picture, especially when you see her struggling to pull up the assault rifle in the awkward position she's in!
Lara Croft's head
Lara Croft's torso
Lara Croft's arms and legs
Tails' tail
An AK-47 Assault rifle
I could play around with that all day.....
Still, as for this topic I don't think that you can make the ultimate character just by adding body parts.
What you need is an imaginative figure, a tradmark characteristic and a good game to put it in.
Donkey Kongs character wasn't too imaginative (not surprising being one of the first characters to be made) but he has a super trademark (rolling/throwing barrels) and he stars in lots of good games.
Sonic the Hedgehog.
A blue "cool shaped" hedgehog with red sneakers! Nice character design.
We have blistering speed as a trademark everyone knows (it's even in his name!).
And he also stars in plenty of good games.
Making a character is tricky but can ultimately pay off as a successful franchise. Look that Mario and Sonic have done for Nintendo and Sega.
Even better example. Look how much cash pikachu has made his creator!
