I dont know much about pc hardware etc but after buying hl2 a few weeks back i think it deservers more ram due to some big action scenes become slow etc im looking at this:

It says about compatability but im not sure!! i have my main board booklet i dont know wether its compatible or not?

what do i need to look for in my booklet

look for the type of memory it supports.
it will say in the RAM section of the booklet.

look for SDRAM / DDR SDRAM / RDRAM (pray that's not it) etc then come back here and tell us what you found.

then that should work.

an easy way of checking for sure is to go here: [URL]http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.asp[/URL] and select your motherboard manufacturer and then model from the list. It will show you all the modules that are supported by your board.

DDR SDRAM is the full name.

just check on the crucial site.

If i do buy this ram can i keep my 256mb in there so i have 768mb? i have more than 1 memory ports....

Thanks m8 youve been a gr8 help! i orderd some ram off the site you gave me so now i can have 700 sumin mb's im thinkin doom 3.........;-)
