Lazy geets! I'm on 2Mb broadband which by today's standards isn't all that quick, but only four seconds? People expect too much from broadband - it does still have issues and problems.

I tend to allow about 10-20 seconds for a page to load personally, but I usually just wait for the Timed Out message in Firefox and then click Try Again. When that page doesn't actually show because something is downloading though, I tend to allow about 10-20 seconds.

How impatient are you on the web?

Haven't looked over the whole web site, but the company who carried out the research seem to sell a product that can solve such a problem as a slower responding web site, so no surprise that they would come up with this result :)

Site owner: What's this, people only wait 4 seconds to load a web site?
Akami: That's right, but your site takes 7 seconds at the moment!
Site owner: Oh, no, I'm ruined!
Akami: Well, not quite, because we sell a service which can ...

Yes I read about this, sometimes I leave after 4 seconds, so I'm really going to have to find ways to cut things down. I guess having neat coding and few graphics will help atleast for the front page where you get most of the hits.
