a) 42
b) to serve and love God
c) procreation
d) a meaningless question (i.e. life has no meaning)
e) there is no life, it's all a dream
f) to have fun
I go for d), but believe that f) has a lot going for it.
c) and f) go together a lot.
e) and a) are deeply philosophical, and I hope both are wrong, but if they are right, then it doesn't really matter.
b) is for the religious ones, luckily, if you believe in b), then life for you has meaning.
For those of us who don't believe in b), then life has no definite meaning and we just have to work out what it is for ourselves. Hence there are lots of other alternatives.
