The universe has two sides and, like that record, sometimes you need to flip it over to hear the other side.
Side one is the Physical. It is the most popular side which most of us 'buy into' and get our first introduction to the universe at large. It is the side that gives us touch, taste and other senses. It produces results and relies on hard facts and principals.
Side two is the metaphysical, the emotional. This is harder to 'get into' and, again like the B side of the record, sometimes takes a while to understand that it can be just as good. This is the side that produces abstract thought, love, imagination. Some people find this side harder to listen to and only play side one all the time.
The best part, though, is when you play both sides together. Far from getting a cacophony of sound, you achieve a harmony that would be impossible by just listening to one side of the album that is the universe.
And that, my friends, is how the universe is like a record.
> So if someone plays the B-side backwards that means they're insane...
..or they've found a way to emotionally time-travel...
*cough*
