they're around 55-57k in size, i've noticed a lot are from hotmail addresses and they have subjects like "mail error" or similar

there are FAR too many coming into my account for it NOT to be dodgy so watch out people.

get a copy of Mailwasher to check any mail on the server before downloading it into your mail software, that way you can bounce or delete them before they do any harm.

hope this saves someone from getting problems....

It's not that IE has more holes, it's just that it's more popular and more people are trying to break it at once meaning more problems will be found.

Mozilla has probably got some massive flaws in it, just there's only a small percentage of people using it and a virus really wouldn't be very effective.

Saying that, most people who know about installing Mozilla as a secnd browser know about basic email protection anyway...

yeah, OE has about a billion holes.
i use either Mozilla Thunderbird or The Bat!, neither of which are prone to the weaknesses of OE.

The bounced mail ones are the Gibe viruses.

Just viewing the message uing the Outlook Express preview pane activates the virus, the MS update ones are the same too.
