the SNES ruled.
mines packed away now, but i've got LOADS of the games for emulators so i can dip in and play my old faves without any wiring malarkey.

i get quite enough malarkey in my life as it is.

Meh, I still have a NES and some games somewhere but unfortunately don't have the leads for the damn thing.
