yeah, I know there is hundreds of topics like this but what the hell.

I'm looking for a MP3 Player, which can store about 1GB. Does one exist or do I have to go for the expensive Ipods or the cheap but "never heard of em or read reviews" ones SR has for sale?

My main gripe with the Jukebox3 is the size of it, we spent ages trying to shift one at work when there were so many smaller options around. It really is abotu the size of a discman - you said yourself, how can someone like that much music? Stand by my 4gb MuVo :)

And while I'm here, 2 thumbs up to creative's returns department, swapping my Zen NX for a working one has been no problem at all and very quick and efficient.

This looks quite good with an affordable price. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with this one.

seriously, for the price difference, just get the biggest size available. not only is it more room for you to put non-music files on there (handy for work) but the larger the drive, the more chance you'll have of selling it if you want to at any point. smaller ones will simply be out of date quicker...

Recently picked up the 256 meg version of this little beaut :

it's an excellent bit of kit. Extremely pleased with it, although the earphones supplied weren't up to scratch really.

So I purchased a pair of these :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008XYJL/ref=sr_aps_electronics_1_1/202-1378050-3007003

which have unbelievably good sound quality and put out a surprising amount of power.

the two combined are truly awesome. I'd recommend them to anyone. I realise you're after a 1 gig player, Venkman, I just wanted to mention them as I'm so damn pleased with my purchases.

carry on ...

I don't understand how you can have that much music you like. I tend to stick with about 400 songs I listen to. Maybe I need broaden my music preferences.

Anyway, I have been looking at the MuVo and it is looking good. I might go for the smaller 1.5GB version. But it is still quite expensive. I need someone who is going to the USA to pick me up one cheap. Cheers for your help and keep your suggestions coming.

Mm, I'm in the process of getting my Zen replaced at the moment, the backlight's gone, the battery discharges when it's off and the headphone socket has either one or no chanels working...so, a bit knackered really :)

Definately looking at MuVo - yes, I've got more than 4gb of music, but I can't listen to over 1000 tracks a day, and to be honest I tend to stay with only a few artists anyway..

Woo, that's pretty damn impressive actually.

Trouble is, I'd fill about 1/2 of that on day of purchase.

But I'll definitly consider that!

Trouble is, my Zen is quite old and beaten up. But still. I love it.
