I was reading on Daily Radar about how it will take a joint effort to dethrone Sony, but how? I ask. I can't believe that such different companies each with different views goals targets and objectives could possible co-exist in this 'epic battle'.

Nintendo primarily make fun games, not ones that make you wet yourself or ones that have you biting your nails from beginning to end but generally fun games like mario, metroid and waverace.

And we have microsoft who are relying on lots of other people to make the games for them...in that sense MS seem more suited to Sony as a partener, but with these two companies both in the race and neither of them making a great number of unique games will the 3rd party developers of today be able to comp with the demands of these two big-time companies...

This is just one of the factors that suggest the Nintendo might win, by a landslide even. Nintendo have Nintendo, sounds silly huh, but Nintendo, bar maybe Rare, make the best console games in the world...they have Mario, and to be honest I can't think of any others except Metroid and Waverace. But Nintendo also have Rare, and Rare, in my view, are the BEST developers in the world, all of their games Bar one or two are absolutly brilliant and the fact that they are backing Nintendo 100% means that the unique games that will NEVER be seen on a Sony or Microsoft might draw gamers from far and wide to the Gamecube.

I don't thik that in such a war Microsoft and Sony will want a load of multi-platform games that will appear at a VERY similar time on the rival platform, and this again is where Nintendo come in...

Because of the easy-to-develop-for attribute to the Gamecube Dev-Kits people will be able to add enhanced features to games in the same time they would need to make the basic game for a Sony/MS system. Take SSX for example, we all know that as of Janruary, the Gamecube will have a SSX Special Edition, and although it revisits a game that was available last year the special features and updated gameplay might be enough to attract gamers from the rival companies. The time it takes to port the games from Sony and MS systems to the Gamecube will get shorter and shorter, and when people see that they can have all the Sony games, bar a few and all the MS games bar a few on the Gamecube as well as being guaranteed more and more Rare masterpieces they will jump to Nintendo's Ship.

Which would you rather have...Sony games on the PS2, MS games and Sega Games on the X-Box, or all of these games bar a few including Rare and Nintendo games and Retro games all on the same super console...

Nintendo are onto a winner, I am not dillusional, it is true...Nintendo might not get a couple of the BEST PS2 games on the Gamecube but for the ones they miss they will get an exclusive like Res Evil 0 to replace it....

It's time we all advanced to the life of Nintendo!

Just a couple of lines to keep us going.
How does everyone feel about the forum, is it a good idea and should wee keep it?
I know it's only been going for a week or two, and it does seem to be getting used with new people joining in.

You should know by now!

Most newspaper journalists (there are a few exceptions) know less about games than the average PS2 owner!

It's laughable what some of them said about pokemon!

"An American toy craze which spawned a TV series, a card game and some computer games where players have to shoot the creatures with ray guns"

They endorse games like Fifa and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

The Leicester Mercury gave Spice World 10/10!

What more can I say?
