"How brilliant is Double Dash!!?"

Rapidly becoming my favourite Gamecube game this. I know it has recieved a lot of stick, especially for the battle mode, but the single race experience is second to none.

I've been playing it with a bunch of my brother's mates for the past 2 hours and I'm getting a few mates over to play it in a moment.

Ah I love it so, a true Gamecube memory.

This thread has reminded me how much I need to buy F-Zero GX.

F Zero GX... haven't played it much but I sorta just gave up on it.

Double Dash!! is fantastic. Especially in races. Those tracks are fantastic and the carts add a brilliant diversity to affairs.

I disagree. I played F Zero with some real high hopes as I loved the N64 version, but I was so dissappointed with it.

Love XG3 and the screen does not blurr! It is a breaking the sound barrier effect!

And F-Zero GX was faster than XG3 - blurring the screen is cheating.

I thought it was pretty good.

Mind you, XGRA was awful!

DD was and is a great game. F Zero on the Cube sucked too. I bought it and it was back at the shop the following day. Extreme G 3 was better and faster!

I played F-Zero GX once and then never again.

So you prefer F Zero GX? I found that alright but I'm moving away from playing racing games right now.

Mario Kart lived and died on the SNES, where it was one of the very best games on a system that could drown in amazing games. The N64 version was merely pretty good, and Double Dash is just an awful game and imo one of the biggest disappointments this generation (especially compared with the electrifying GC version of F-Zero).
