Sure you've all read about the unofficial leaked demo; it can be downloaded (all 360mb of it) at

first though to get it to work properly, frame rate is terrible 17fps with XP2200 and Radeon 9700 ! it hasn't been optimized yet - hope the official demo comes along soon.

For all those experiencing very slow frame rates, play about with the configs abit...change it to fullscreen 800x600 or so, medium detail, and preload the entities on the levels. I run it on a xp1600 and a gf3 ti500, and it's playable 90% of the time..just don't try to activate noclip or giveall..

Most of the settings can be found in the doomconfig.cfg file, play around abit...grab me on msn if you want to discuss it off forums, [email protected]

cos ppl on other forums got banned cos its illegal lol

Had a look at some of those other in-game demo's and the game looks fecking amazing. I see the games shaping up to be something special, I just hope it lives up to this early footage.

I tried Google for mirror sites but not much joy.

Downloaded the intro, which although laggy, does make the game look good, very good. Much darker this time around, and I mean atmosphere, not lighing, the monsters look freaky and the environments look amazingly detailed.

I'm going to see whether I can get my hands on a few in-game vids.
