Its an equal to Halo in every way from what I have played so far and up to press its playing better than Skies of Arcadia. I don't really know where to start...
Anyone who has any queries just ask them one at a time and I will try to answer them. Played about 1 hour so far so I have got a pretty decent grasp of it.

There have only been a few RPGs I've ever liked. Fallout 1 + 2, Ultima 7 and... um... I'm probably forgetting one (I dislike the Zelda games, perhaps the most famous RPG)
But KOTOR is great. Barely scraped the surface yet.

It was a toss up between renting KOTOR and GR:Island Thunder today.
Ghost Recon won. I'm not a big RPG fan but this thread does make it sound really good.
Oh and GR is the nuts, once your absorbed by the game and thinking like your in the delta force. I'm gonna buy it next time i have £20.

Yes I thought it might have been. Doesn't stop them having a Jar-Jar Binks look-a-like for me to kill though does it? :D

in the corridor just before you enter room with the nasty rancor...there should be a severed arm on the floor with a datapad and 3 scented things...get mission to use stealth and sneak to the pile of corpses just behind the rancor....place a frag bomb FIRST in the pile followed by one of those scented things...then sit back and watch.

Got the game today, played for a few hours. Got pretty good at that card game, but I kept getting whooped by that old bloke in the arena, with the double ended weapon. Curse him!

yeah, I stopped taking that guy along he bugged me so much, whinging git. I took bastilla out on most missions as she kicks some ass with her double edged saber, while sporting a nice bikini.
The wookiee and that daft young girl got left in my hideout most of the time as they are gash, the robot was surprisingly good, especially after you fit a flamethrower to it!
Landed on dantooine, got my saber, am currently trying to finish the third test which involves a large house/villa in the grove I think. the robot there won't let me in and I can't kick his head in.
Don't know where you found her robot but that'll be the next task I think.
One criticism - you should be able to batter who you want, some characters just need a good kicking.
