I wanted to know whether you think I have a shot at Oxford:

GCSEs

2 A*
7 A
2 B

A Levels:

Assuming I get say, ABB or better

In the general Economics, Business management, mathematical areas.

(Also, for this exercise, we can assume I pass the interview too.)
:)

Thanks.

Are they not the same University?

Or are there 2 in Edinburgh.

St Andrews is miles and miles and miles away from Edingburgh.

I wanted to go, but they didn't offer the subject I wanted, so I didn't.

Edinburgh do law, don't they?

Just they have fairly low requirements, so probably aren't as good as Glasgow or Strathclyde.

It's like BBBB compared to AAAAB

Sometimes they do lower requirements for highers if you passed tham in one year instead of over 2.

Dundee Uni does that too.

Yep, St. Andrews is about ten miles from Dundee (50-60 miles from St. Andrew's) and is one of the best Uni's in Scotland.

but still,

Glasgow and Strathclyde = AAAAB
Edinburgh = BBBB

I'm almost certain, but can't be bothered checking

Know why I'm not going to apply to St Andrews?

It's about the size of my knee cap.

Roughly.

The town is about the size of your knee-cap. But the Uni is as big as any other Uni in Scotland at least. They spend lots of money on lots of things and the night life in St. Andrews is quite good too.

You wont get into oxford.
My friend is one of those boy genius types, who has never had anything below an A.
Was predicted 3 A's for Alevel, and they still wouldnt let him in.
