Had my haircut today, the place I normally go was full and I really wanted to get it cut as soon as possible, meaning I had to go to a nearby salon type place.

Cutting my hair is fairly simple, it doesn't even require scissors. I have a number 4 on top and a 3 around the back and sides. Easy, yes? Normally I pay £3.50 for this, which some may say is a bit expensive but today I almost had a heart attack after hearing the price.

Rip-off merchant: "That'll be £9, please."
Me: "£9!!!!"
Rip-off merchant: "Yeah, £9. Oh no, wait, you're under 18 so it's less."
Me: *sigh of relief*
Rip-off merchant: "It's actually £8."
Me: *shocked again, but pay anyway*

I only had £8 on me, it was unbelievable. It wasn't even a particuarly good cut, I think it was somebody on work experience that did it. Bah.

Don't you just hate 'fashionable males' who go to these hair salons (yes, salons) and pay through the roof for their clip, gel and spike jobs.

Then the next day they rendevouz with their fashionable male friends and compare what scarf and golf jumper goes with their 'new, original' style.

I was working full time last Easter but really needed a haircut so headed down on a Sunday.

The only place open was a salon... I went in. had the worst haircut ever and then they charged me £20... I was in shock for days.

I tend to do the same as Cycloon - just let it grow until it gets out of control, and then have it cut short.

Got it done on Friday - £5.50 round the corner. Short sides, bit longer on the top. Then as it grows you can style it differently all the time.
I've got a mohican thingy at the moment which looks pretty good.

I usually go for the ultimate just got out of bed look with my hair, which is what I just call actually just having got out of bed and not doing anything with it.

Who's going to see it anyway, I'm a hermit!
