To be fair, the terms of our existance are quite a large topic of interest.
I like the idea that an "all-loving" God will let me spend eternity in hell and torment just because I broke one or two fairly inconsequential guidelines.

I believe that we're machines and as such, when it's game over, there's just an infinite darkness. We don't have a soul, so when our body, the machine, breaks, nothing but a slow decaying process occurs.

I don't scoff at the notion of a God nor do I believe in one. If there is a "hell" I am going to it. Sometimes I have to say I might see or experience something and I think, "I wonder." And then there are other times when I think the entire idea is a joke. Religion is/was used to control the masses but if you strip away the human greed and deviousness that's been present over the millenia who knows if there was something there, a long time ago.
