And so it begins. Still, sounds a long way off at the moment, and you still don't get a game for your cash (you do get the Value Pack though, with 32MB card, battery pack, pouch, strap and other useless gubbins). Free copy of Spider-Man 2 the movie on UMD if you register too.

Don't know why I bothered to post this, I won't able to afford one for about four years now anyway.

I was thinking about getting one, but then I realised it would be a huge waste of money.

The only advantage it has over it's big brother is that it's portable, which presents me with a problem. There is no way in hell I'm going to play games in a public place.

So, the only decent thing the PSP has going for it is ruined by my own fear of being laughed at.

The thing is, I can see myself buying UMD movies for the PSP and if thats the case I can't get an American PSP.

I think so. The only way to get around it is to get someone to bring it to this country themselves for you.

I have family in Canada, if I were to ask them to get me a PSP and them send it over would I get charged for importing?

Isn't the tax and postage quite expensive though?

EDIT: Does anybody know if it has been released in Dubai as I am going in the summer.

As long as the seller marks the item down, you will definitely be better off Importing.

Yea, it's a bit on the expensive side. Not that I think I'll get one now anyway, I hardly use the consoles I have anymore, so I'm not likely to play anything while I'm out. Nevertheless, I would have thought £150 with game would have been reasonable.

Way too much.

You can buy a DS and a PS2 for about the same price. I would have bought one a couple of years ago, but i had more money and less sense back then.
