I'm not sure whether anyone will be interested but I'll give it a whirl. Just to liven the forum up a bit.

I'm going to start a World Championship on Grand Prix 4 and you have to pick a driver from the list below. I will give you the race results when I have them. Remember that all the cars and drivers will be equal so the race results will be completely random.

Homegrown pole sitter in Britain

Jenson Button snatched pole position by a really small margin for his home race at Silverstone. He pipped Raikkonen by only 6 thousandths of a second. De La Rosa recovered from a suspension failure on his first run to score the sixth fastest time.

In the battle for the championship, Villeneuve, who is sitting 4 points behind Frentzen, is in a great position to claw that gap back with 3rd place on the grid. Panis, in 3rd place, managed 10th but Frentzen struggled again with only 12th place.

Full qualifying results:

1st Button (Jetster) 1m20.366s
2nd Raikkonen (Figo) 1m20.372s
3rd Villeneuve (James Pond) 1m20.389s
4th Coulthard (Quinty) 1m20.420s
5th Trulli (Triple H) 1m20.421s
6th De La Rosa (Grandprix) 1m20.427s
7th R Schumacher (Badgerman) 1m20.440s
8th Heidfeld (Daxter) 1m20.492s
9th Barrichello (Reddy 2002) 1m20.497s
10th Panis (Your Honour) 1m20.533s
11th Salo (PS2 Proud) 1m20.537s
12th Frentzen (KR) 1m20.541s
13th Bernoldi (Afrojoe) 1m20.541s
14th Montoya (Foreman) 1m20.543s
15th M Schumacher (Mr. Ritze) 1m20.545s
16th Webber (Ant) 1m20.553s
17th Irvine (DW) 1m20.563s
18th Sato (Bizarre Cabbage) 1m20.574s
19th Yoong (No.2) 1m20.583s
20th Fisichella (MikeAll) 1m20.626s
21st Massa (Ortega) 1m20.652s
22nd McNish (Dr. Pepper - oni) 1m20.730s

Can Frentzen hold off all challengers to that top spot?

Moo. My 2nd retirement of the season.

Still, I'm going better than Bernoldi is in the real F1 season this year, times 5.

Yoong throws it away in France

Pedro De La Rosa was the surprise winner in France when with only a lap and a half to go, Yoong lost control of his Minardi and lost 4 places.

It didn't get better for Michael Schumacher, who was leading the race for about 20 laps, when he lost control of his Ferrari and fell all the way back to last. Salo, Heidfeld and Irvine all lost control of their cars during the race.

Ralf Schumacher was the first retirement. He narrowly missed Irvine's car and ended up beached in the gravel trap on lap 6. Bernoldi's engine let go on lap 18. McNish was forced to retire on lap 49 with a loose rear wheel. Webber retired with an engine fire and oil leak on lap 69.

De La Rosa benefitted from mistakes to win for Jaguar. Villeneuve establishes his championship credentials with 2nd place. Barrichello finished in 3rd which was some consolation for Ferrari. Massa, Yoong and Panis rounded out the top 6.

1st De La Rosa (Grandprix) 1h29m20.573s

Bah, Button sucks. Can I trade him for a real chocolate button? Least I'll be able to do some thing with him (eat it).

Man, I doubt that made much sence.
