I got around 300 with Peach. Use Up+A to keep knocking the sandbag in the air and then slog it with the bat.

my best is about 390, with DR mario, an i did it like u sed(soz, i cant remember yer name, or b bothered to press 'back')with the cape and the pills
i just cant get it further though, this is really annoying!!!!!!!!!!

I can't hit the sandbag with the bat with Captain Falcon. He just seems to hit it right up in the air every time!
And how come Donkey Kong doesn't hit it as far as others, even when he's caused more damage?
I can get only around 150 with DK, even when the bag is at 50% or more. Peach can hit it further at 20%!
Anyone else found this?

I got 405m with Dr.Mario, done it like that other person said to. It took me a couple of goes though.

captain falcon cant do hoizontal smashes with the bat. You have to do a falcon punch.
