Anyone else care to share their thoughts?
Personally, I don't consider QoS to be the worst, and thinking back, Lazenby wasn't the worst James Bond, just a different style - I thought the script was awful in OHMSS though. Die Another Day was my least favourite official Bond movie, though even that isn't as bad as the Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again which was just awful - even if the intentions behind it weren't. Casino Royale is my favourite Bond movie as it is the only one I know so far that follows the original story almost word for word, with obvious modernisation.
As soon as it becomes available for preorder on DVD I'm putting an order in.
Can we just pretend QoS never happened?
QoS was James Bond meets Fast and Furious.
If was a good action but definitely wasn't a traditional Bond film and really should have condensed and added onto the end of Casino Royale IMHO.
Daniel Craig is superb as Bond and Pierce Brosnan wasn't bad either but Die Another Day was horrendous.
Thankfully they haven't tried any of the unbelievable technology nonsense with the latter films.
I do think it was the correct decision to make Bond a bit darker as the one liners were getting a bit wearing.
Brosnan was one of the worst Bonds. Didn't enjoy any of his Bond films....
Did you honestly think he was worse than George Lazenby or Timothy Dalton? I should really be sticking up for Dalton as he is from around these parts but I honestly thought he was crap. Thought Brosnan's first 2 Bond outings were passable but his last 2 were dreadful.
Casino Royale is also well above Quantum of Solace. QoS rates amongst the worst of any Bond film.
Can we just pretend QoS never happened?
I'm probably alone here but I didn't actually think Quantum Of Solace was all THAT bad, granted it was no masterpiece and it was certainly the least impressive of Danny C's Bond movies but it was still better than Brosnan's last couple IMO.
At least there were no invisible cars in it! :P
Hope Sam Mendes gets to direct some more.
