Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up.
Square set up a seperate company and merged it with Enix so that they could move Final Fantasy back to Nintendo, as they had planned to do since seeing the GameCube in action for the first time.
Metal Gear Solid was originally on Nintendo consoles in the first place, like Final Fantasy, it was just a matter of time...
