It's the music I think. The soundtrack features quite a lot of well known names, and the people just love that.

Amped 2 is better than 1080 Avalanche. It just is. Most ratings I've seen in any review have had it higher. I never really like the SSX series, although it has the highest Gamespot ratings of them all from the readers.
