Is currently game of choice at the moment ... mainly since I can't shift me fiancee off the TV to play FFX-2. Still its a cracking little game, probably one of the more decent RPGs to have crossed my path!

Golden Sun was great while it lasted it but splitting the game into 2 (or a total of 4, so I heard) is a scam!

Apparently, since the same game engine is used for 2, they've spent their time making the game larger and more challenging. The puzzles have a bit more grit to them, the world is much much larger. Plus I like the flip viewpoint of playing from the apparent 'bad guys' point of view.

One niggle, and I find this with alot of RPGs (Squaresoft aside), is that the main character you're given NEVER has any scripting. So you don't get a chance to get an idea of what they're like. I guess it could be something to do with allowing you to make up your own character for the main person. I just prefer a nice in depth character set out for you. Makes conversations within the party and to other people a bit more interesting.

Nah you miss the point, the character is you and who knows you better than you?

GS2 TLA is one of the best GBA RPG's to date, but nobody seems to listen on this forum, you're alla bunch of hipocrites most of the time.

The game isn't one game split, it's two games. It's two games length, has the content of two games, therefore it is two games.

Nuh-uh. The main character in GS is Issac, who gets to talk in Lost Age, and the main character in Lost Age is Felix, who gets to talk in GS. So neh. :P

Golden Sun has long been one of my favourit GBA games, I picked it up soon after the GBA's release and then imported the second part as Nintendo took aaages as usual to translate/release in Europe. Looks brilliant, plays brilliant, has great characters and style and humour. Top class game.
