Ok so now i've got my connection working fine, i've setup the network configuration on the network access disc so now i'm ready for gaming. However everytime i log into Socom 2 i get an error message saying

DNAS Error -402


What does this mean? Does anyone know

What does this mean? Does anyone know

-402 sceDNAS2_SS_INVALID_MEDIA
Invalid disc. "DNAS Error (-402) A PS2 disc information error has occurred."

Can sometimes happen if:

your PS2 lens is misaligned
your PS2 lens has dust on it
your disc needs a clean
you've inserted a hamster into your disc tray

And also if your PS2 is about to start giving you the dreaded Disc Read Errors and is about to die.

Time to buy another PS2 then.

ANd uhh, make sure it's an official copy from the same region as your console.

by the time you start playing Socom 3 will be out. :D

Time to do what i did, get an Xbox.
And connect (easily) to Xbox Live.

Im not saying the PS2 is crap anything.

Well it's a brand new lens so i can't see why that would be acting up. It worked the first time i connected then ever since just giving me that bloody 402 message

I would suggest it's my modchip but if it was surely it wouldn't say disc read error although it does occur at the DNAS screen so it would make sense
