I have my webcam installed and running. Now I just need to find some software to FTP the images to my website.
I'll blog my progress in this thread so others can try it themselves =) I mentioned before about a friend of mine who set up a site with live feed on his chickens. =)
Here's my live webcam (every 30s)
EDIT: No wait it's working now =)
The camera is a Philips model, for a flatscreen monitor, which mine isnt. I don't think it cost much. You can get some really good webcams but I doubt I'll buy another especially when I'll be traveling and not able to use it properly.
What camera is it?
This webcam is new, it's my brothers, he couldnt get it working on his machine, but I just about got it to work on mine. Whether in frustration or pure stupidity, he managed to crack the software CD. It should be still on my machine, but I dont think I'll want to use it. It came across as very clingy and wanting to install 5+ different programs. You know what it's like. So I'll have a look around and see if I can find something better.
The quality is actually quite good compared to my other webcam.
Are you sure your web cam software doesn't come with the built-in FTP software you need? My old one did, and I got that 5 years ago.
