Hang around in the sunny areas, I've not actually properly tanned yet but it's definetly in the game.

That was one of Molyneuxs over exagerations.

They eventually fade away. Ony way of preventing them is covering up as much skin as possible, oh and not getting beaten up so much.

Yup, once you've bought it there should be a sign out front that you press a on to decorate the house. It costs gold and you can do it numerous times.

Tons of ways. Killing people and stealing theirs, beating up bandits, breaking into houses, mini games etc etc

Buy houses and rent them out.
