Okay, to get onto a course in uni, i need that, i have the GCSE's but the points, i dontget that bit, does it depend on your grade in the A-levels? how many you take? or what? i am only in year 12, but i have a plan in mind, because i am not enjoying school, so i need to know before i make any choices
I know an AS is half an A2, but a Higher isn't considered half an Adv-Higher.
So I don't know whether it's the same or different
So if you get a B at AS you get 50 points. At A2 you get 100 points.
But you don't add them together to get 150 points.
See if I get a Standard Grade 1, a Higher A and an Advanced Higher A at Chemistry, would that be 230 points? Or would just the AH be counted, and I'd get 120 points?

Yeah, but you add up the AS and the A-level points, don't you?
so 4 As at AS level at 3 As and A-level would be 600 points

It's still pretty much the same - A = 100, B = 80 etc
So 300 = 3As, or 4Bs etc etc etc

Which is over 4 A's! No wonder I went to the University of Derby!
Bolton's average A/AS-level points attained are 168
Cambridge's is 519
Or 3 C's at A2.
