UCAS tariff: 280 points with at least 240 points from 6/12 unit GCE/VCE A-level, plus five GCSEs (at grade C or above) to include English. Equivalent qualifications are also acceptable.

Okay, to get onto a course in uni, i need that, i have the GCSE's but the points, i dontget that bit, does it depend on your grade in the A-levels? how many you take? or what? i am only in year 12, but i have a plan in mind, because i am not enjoying school, so i need to know before i make any choices

So basically BBB would get you there as an example? I never understood why the whole A1, A2 with a new points system thing was introduced. It was so much easier with the old 10,8,6,4,2 system where offers were typically "26" or whatever, which instantly meant ABB or AAC. Twas nice and simple in those days.

How do Highers compare to AS Levels in terms of points?

Just read that link

Eh?

Highers are 72, AS Levels are 60?

How odd.

AS level grade points score (from when I was at 6th form):

A: 60 points
B: 50 points
C: 40 points
etc...

A2 level:

A: 120 points
B: 100 points
C: 80 points

etc...

EDIT: Just checked on UCAS and that's right.

So, to the original poster. If you get an AS level C in something... and then 2 B's at A2 you'll have enough. Especially if you do "Key Skills" as well.

Or 3 C's at A2.

It's still pretty much the same - A = 100, B = 80 etc

So 300 = 3As, or 4Bs etc etc etc
