Anyway, having a dreamcast as well I can also say that it is nowhere near as good as N64. It isn't bad. There are SOME really great games but there just isn't enough of them. Soul Calibur, Shenmue and MSR are the best but i've played all of those to death (with the exception of soul calibur because that just never gets boring). None of the games last as long as the great N64 games (again with the exception of soul calibur).
On the topic of next generation consoles I think that X-Box will just be a PC hooked up to a TV so I'm not going to be getting that. However, having said that, the PC does have some really great games but again, having said that, I already have a PC so why would I want another. In my opinion though it will still sell by the millions because it is made by microsoft, the definition of quality. The PS2 will also sell brilliantly (and already has) but only because of the success of the original playstation. I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. Then we come to gamecube, the JESUS of them all. I don't think it will sell the most though. In fact I probably think both PS2 and X-Box will outsell it because whenever anybody thinks of Nintendo they immediately think of kiddies games. This is a shame because I think Nintendo and Rare (who only develop for nintendo machines) provide the best and most enjoyable video games around. I know which console I'm getting. I can't wait.
At the moment however I am stuck with Dreamcast. I can't wait for Shenmue 2. Crazy Taxi 2 and Ecco the dolphin 2 will also be pretty good but these games (with the exception of Shenmue 2) will only be diversions to keep me happy while I await the greatness of Perfect Dark Zero and Rogue Squadron 2.

Lol!
:-D
Mischief won again fro some cheats!

Bad luck Dan :-(
2.Dreamcast
3.Playstation2
Why you may say well the N64 has some truly great games on it and this is going to continue on to the GameCube with more developers jumping on the Nintendo band wagon. The Dreamcast some top games, but not enough lastability. Goldeneye is I dont know how old but I still play it regularily. Games like Jet set radio are good but they take only a few days to complete. Not appropriate after paying 30 quid for it is it. The reason it scores higher than th PS2 is its cheap price. To me it is no better than the PS2 but its price makes it obvious value for money. The Playstation 2 just has no good games on it other than ssx. People talk about Metal Gear 2, Shadowman 2 amd Silent Hill 2 but the main thing is .....they are not out yet you dimmwits. Oh and another thing aren't these games all sequels. Including the pretty class looking GranTurismo 3.Anyway thats what I think. Feel free to argue with my opinions.

I could put a whole lot of stars across the page representing the swear words that would come into what my opinion of what you wrote is, however, I am not going to, as you are new.
However...
"No good game other than SSX".
Well, what about Starfighter? ZOE? Crazy Taxi? Shadow of Memories? TimeSplitters? Moto GP?
I would include more, but some people regard them as less good. Anyway, I know exactly what your response to TimeSplitter will be... "But what about Perfect Dark...". Well, it may have a better one palyer game (soon to be beaten by Red Faction), but when it comes to multiplayer fun, PD looks slow and boring. I have been in a group of four, playing TimeSplitters for hours with some other N64 owners. We then switched to their "lovely" Perfect Dark. However, after TimeSplitters, it was virtually unplayable due to the stupidly slow pace of the game. Even the N64 owners had to admit it was slow. (So you can`t argue with that!)
"They aren`t out yet you dimmwits".
GT3 is not far off, and we also talk a lot about what we already have (see the games mentioned a few paragraphs above). We also like to talk about the future (notice the title of this forum), and discuss what will be some of the best games ever produced so far. Metal Gear Solid2, Jak and Daxter etc... Talking about the future is fun. It gives us something to look forward to. Everybody needs something to look forward to.
"Oh and another thing aren't these games all sequels".
The ones you mentioned are, but what about these:
Jak and Daxter.
The Getaway.
Red Faction.
The Bouncer.
Fur Fighters.
Dark Cloud.
Star Wars Online.
These are just the ones I consider to be really amazing, though there are many more that also look appealing.
Then there are the sequels. They are the first to appear on the PS2, so not true sequels if you ask me, and they are often only the second or third installments of a game.
Metal Gear Solid 2.
Gran Turismo 3.
Devil May Cry.
Wipeout Fusion.
Final Fantasy X.
Again these are just the best, and though they are sequels, they are going to be amazing, and nobody will remember the old versions, as they will be so different.
"Feel free to argue with my opinions."
Its not so much arguing with you. I`m telling you.
Pd does suffer slowdown in multiplayer, but did you know that in options you can speed it up?
The same problem shouldnt occur in After dark on the Gamecube.
