Gamecube seems to be gathering dust, and I've been mildly impressed by some of the XBOX game adverts I've seen. Hence am potentially in the market.
Questions though - is it worth it if I own a high-spec PC?
Can I get 'normal' shaped controllers (the ones I've used are chunky, and gay)?
Why does it have memory card slots on the controllers if it has a hard-drive?
Thanks,
IB

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Project Gotham 2
Ninja Gaiden

The memory cards are just for taking your saved games round to a mates' or whatever.
Yes you can get normal controllers, and the memory card slots are there so you could still transfer data from one Xbox to another, though hardly any games seem to support memory cards.
As in, couldn't you save the data to the hard-drive and then copy it over to the memory card?
Not that I care.

Eh?
All games support the memory card. Just plug it into the controller and when you save you can select hardrive or memory card.
And I don't have a memory card so it probably never came up.
I have one though (it's a limited edition FIFA World Cup 2002 one, its bloody great), and it did come in handy for saving my PGR2 data to and then going over my friends for a 'drink and Xbox night'.
We completed the game. Yay!
