Try what? If you think that chosing a Williams will be better it wont. All the cars will be the same as I think it was Nobbyflagpole who has tried different teams and he said it makes no difference at all.
There are 2 shortcuts which you probably know asda and they are the bus stop and the corner after the straight just after the first time section.
The way to get a fast time is to be smooth and find a good racing line through the lap. At one point I found that you can be carrying an extra 15 mph just from taking the corner right. When driving you dont relise that even that extra 0.1 second on the brakes could give you a better turn into the corner and let you get a better exit that could give you 0.2 seconds advantage.
In F1 you need to take every corner at the absolute limit, you need to break as late as you can get around the corner smoothly and get on the power as soon as you can and try to build up speed to the next corner.
I started at 1:51:00 then learnt the circuit and went from that down to a 1:45:00.
