Nintendo need to do some thing fast if they want to stay in the game. In Japan, Nintendo should be able to crush Sony, but it appears they can't, even remembering DS was launched before PSP there.
If the trend is repeated world wide, and Sony PSP continue's to increase it's lead, where will that leave DS? Being pushed into 2nd place world wide is a real possibility now, which would in turn have an effect on developers who want to design for the most used system. Add to that the low number of Nintendo GameCube's, an we have to ask, what is the future for Nintendo?
Of course they will you leper. Tons of people buy games without knowing what they are, when I was really oung I used to get games for my Atari ST solely based on the pictures on the box.

I never saw a Prime 2 advert. In fact the only adverts I've ever seen on telly were the ones when the Cube launched and a few EA adverts specifically showing Cube games.
When the 'Cube first came out there was quite a lot and the Metroid Prime 2 advert I saw about 30 times.
The DS lauch line-up is very weak and this is not making use of the first out of the gate advantage the DS has over the PSP in Europe.

The other thing Nintendo didn't learn is that in this day and age advertising is the key to sales. Thats why Sony are so successful with the Playstation. The bl**dy name is everywhere. Football matches, constant TV advertising, magazines, promotions, prizes etc etc etc boring boring!
