Only if you use a program like INCD (makes CD-RWs act like floppies). Otherwise you have to remove everything and rewrite to change the contence. You can extra files using multisession, but older CD drives don't support it or read it.
Because a cd-rw disc would be handy then, but not so for a back-up.
