Anyone getting this? It's looking very good indeed and it's just gone gold. Rumour has it that there will be a demo on the 10th or around then with the game being released on the 24th. I must admit I had my doubts as to whether or not this will come out in June but thankfully it is. I haven't read or seen much about this until now because I was trying not to get into all of the hype. Looks like a must have by the looks of it.

I'll get this game and attempt to run it on the condition of the following:

1) I can crash a plane into a helicopter full of people.

2) I can fly upside down close to the ground and eject myself into someone's face.

3) I can eject myself into helicopter blades.

I want to carry out a reenactment of Orlando Bloom from Black Hawk Down.

I want to:

1. Stab someone who is parachuting from a plane as I fall past them.
2. Attempt a helicopter to jet transferral in mid air
3. Throw a grenade in a helicopter as I fall past it, killing everyone inside.

How many people here have Vietnam?

Didn't bother with Vietnam myself, I heard it was a bit of a disappointing game. I would be tempted to pick it up on the cheap though.

I'm quite excited now. This game looks mint.

I only have a Radeon 9600, but it ran Half-Life 2 on Med-High - so I should at least be able to play BF2.

I've been following the game for a year... near enough.. and it seems to have come a long way. Some of the rag-doll seems to be a touch out, and slightly low-gravity in places. But compared to what you get, that isn't a problem.

I thought the Helicoptering in Vietnam was pretty good. But then I didn't play DC for very long... and joined the party late as it was.

HOPEFULLY the demo will be available by Mon/Tue.. Officially, yes, it's Friday... but games always slip through.

The most recent 10-minute IGN video-preview shows a couple of shots from high up, and the scale of it is awesome. I don't know what card he was using, but it certainly did the trick. I don't really want to get a new card until I get a new system... so I'll just put all the textures up and all the 'not-so-noticable' effects down to med-low. You get lost in the gameplay, anyway.. so I'm not OVERLY bothered.

Still, the Demo should be here in less than a week... and I keep giggleing and squealing like a girl...
