I know what it was.
You weren't wearing your brown trousers and your legs were too spindly and weak to press the brakes properly.
brown = good driving colour.

'Twas funny, on the way to some island in Scotland, we stopped at a service station near Glasgow. Just as we were leaving a group of Female students nearly drove into the side of us cus she was on her mobile and not paying attention. Now if she had hit us it would have put pay to our holiday. Anyway, my parents both signalled to her to get off her phone, so she gave us the finger. In response all four of us did it back and drove off. We then needed to get petrol and drove round the island 3 times, by mistake, and the girls followed us round all the way, and tried to drive us off the road, and whilst still on her phone came in very close contact with a HGV, at which she drove off.

I have loads of funny holiday stories if you want to hear any more...
