I can't understand my generation.

*goes all pompous*

Apparently, people like me are odd for;

A) Being quite shy
B) Actually knowing something abiut the world
C) reading more than the TV guide

Of course, these are a select few mongs, but to be honest, where do they fit in if thats lame?

Arr!

Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'd say that people who are shy aren't comfortable with themselves though, it's a lack of confidence. Because you're bothered about what people might say/think about you.

Whereas if you are comfortable with who you are, surely you wouldn't give a toss and not stand quietly in the corner hoping nobody notices you?

Who are the characters that make films/books interesting: the odd ones.

Odd is good. Odd is god. Odd is the meaning of life. (maybe I've gone too far)

No sense makes this.

Being someone who does not really know much about anything, I admire people who know allot of things. I like intelligent people, I could take the time to take things in but I don’t and I give credit those who pick up on things, learn things, and generally know about different things in life.

Yes and no. I think some people know their limitations and are happy with what they have over what they don't.

But that means that to not care, you have to be extravagent/not-quite-so-shy, and I'm not. To be honest, I really don't care, seriously, because I know who my friends are and who can go to hell for all I care. Just because I don't make a show of myself doesn't mean I can't. I quite easily could, but then again, I just don't want to.

Fair enough, that's what I wasn't sure about and why I asked.
