Damn that was good...best of all the recent episodes (when they finally got rich...then lost it). I can't be bothered to talk about it now because I have things to do and people to see but man it was good.

Three episodes were made, one was shown Christmas 2001, one Christmas 2002 and that last will be shown Christmas 2003.

yeah that a brilliant one, the jolly boy's outing's my faourite special.
the freddie the frog xmas special is the best.

Debatable seeing all the new episodes of OFAH were short in Spring/Summer 2001 for transmission at Christmas 2001 but the BBC decided to stretch it out. Peter Kay's immigrants arrived in the second series (IIRC) which aired Autumn 2002 so was likely to be written well after OFAH.
Hardly much to get excited about though - the similarity is basically they both bring back imigrants while illegally booze crusing. Rather basic concept that could easily be written by two people independ of each other under the influence of the highly exaggerated "imigrant problem" the trash press like so much.
Thing I was wondering - wasn't there three new episodes shot? Are the Beeb holding a third over for next year then, or have they combined them into two?
