My personal opinion: BAD
Before, PC software was distinctive, bright boxes with the interior space normally made use of by a majority of companies, now our fave format is in the peril of looking just like the thousands of second-rate Playstation and Dreamcast games - uniform and boring.
And my copy of RED ALERT 2 looks silly stacked amongst my other big boxes, including the other C&C titles.

DVD cases are loads better... (dont they remind you of old MasterSystem game packs?) ... They dont look as good in the shops, but honestly, one you've installed the game, the boxes just get in the way. Also DVD cases will make it easier to keep the CD/DVD & manual together.Besides how much box does a CD/DVD and 30 page manual & registration card need?
Definately DVD cases, much more compact, and "making use of the extra space" tends to mean shoving in a load of promotional material to get you to buy their next games... (btw, my red alert 2 is in a cardboard box, collectors edition one)
