They did the job, and did it bloody well it seems!

(the Cube version is still the definitive, it seems, but you can't have it all :P)

I can still remember discussions with people telling me "the PS2 can't do it".

Well, yes it can, and we have extras, too.

I'm never one to say "I told you so", so to those people I say:

Re-arrange these words to form a well-known phrase or expression...

THAT STICK YOUR SMOKE PIPE IN AND IT

Extra weapons, extra costumes (if you're into unlocking that sort of thing), Pro-Logic II surround support, true widescreen display, "more cutscenes and more than a few hours of extra gameplay".

All together now...

Resi's comin' home... it's comin' home... it's comin' home... it's comin...

So the Gamecube basically got one new game out of the 'exclusive' deal.

Don't get me wrong... I liked my 'cube. I still like the machine, but I bought it primarily for the Resi series. Once it was decided that they were releasing 4 for the PS2, I decided not to keep it - purely because it was lacking in software support. I'm sure many find Ninty's own games more than sufficient, but they've never really worked for me.

Might pick this up on the cheap once I've bothered to get a PS2, bothered to get the lik-sang Xbox pad converter and bothered to play through my copy for the Cube.

But before that: http://users.ign.com/wishlist/Hedfix?objType=1

Might be a bit busy.
