SPAIN WIN EURO 2008!

Spain with some nice early passing. The only shot in the first 10 minutes was a tame Ljungberg effort easily saved by Casillas. A cutely played corner finds Silva in space on the edge of the box, crossed in to Torres, who prods it home for 1-0.

Sweden try to hit back quickly but Elmander's shot was side netting only. Larsson scoops a chip over the bar. A cross lands right at the feet of Ibrahimovic, he miscontrols it but still manages to beat the defender and scores past Casillas for 1-1. The keeper might be a bit upset with that attempted save.

Villa has a shot saved but Spain have lost their decent passing from early on. Silva barged over in the box but no penalty and Spain are incensed at half time.

Early danger for Holland as Henry skips past a defender and crosses but a defender just clears in front of Ribery steaming in. France have started firing shots in. Two blocked, one across goal and Henry has his shot blocked. They appeal for a penalty but it would have been harsh.

Henry gets free and the attempted chip of the keeper sails over the bar. Holland trying hard to get out of their half and they create a chance but Sneijder's header was too far out to be a threat.

And, once again, Holland score on the break as Robben flies down the left and crosses it into the path of Van Persie, Coupet gets a hand on it but it slowly creeps over the line.

Ribery gets a shot away which is deflected and Van Der Sar palms it away. France looking increasingly desperate. Robben comes inside and his shot is saved by Coupet.

France score when Sagnol whips the ball and Henry gets the touch to guide it into the corner. Straight down the other end, Robben is forced away from goal and fires a shot from a tight angle, it beats Coupet and Holland lead 3-1.

France continue to press with a long range effort from Toulalan. A free kick has Henry heading over. A long ball finds Van Nistelrooy and his looping header is palmed away by a retreating Coupet. Henry only finds side netting from a tight angle.

Ribery's free kick goes over and France have little time left at this point. Robben charges down the middle and his shot is close but wide. Another Dutch break and Sneijder turns and flicks off the underside of the bar to seal an amazing win.

Fantastic game. Holland win the group.

Corner to Holland and Kuyt scores from a header despite being wrestled by Malouda. The Dutch playing nice possession football and the French looking poor in the attacking areas.

A poor defensive header almost puts Kuyt in but the French are relieved to see it go over. Govou creates an opportunity for himself but he can't beat Van Der Sar at his near post.

Malouda fires a low shot which Van Der Sar easily gets down to and Govou has a shot straight at Van Der Sar. France are starting to get into their stride as Ribery has a shot which Van Der Sar has to get down to and he handles it well.

A French cross just misses Henry at the near post and slides to safety. Henry has a turn and shot but it flies wide and Holland see out the first half.

Everything seemed to be going against Italy and the officials certainly didnt help matters.

The counter attacking Romanians are almost on 'shoot on sight' mode as they keep firing in the long range effort. A swervy effort from Mutu is saved by Buffon. It is then catastrophe for Italy as Zambrotta tried to head the ball back to Buffon from a long free kick and Mutu nicked in and scored.

Italy strike back instantly with Panucci. A high floaty corner is headed back across goal for a tap in. Petre gets free for Romania and it requires a lunging defender to block the shot.

A long ball caught by the Romanian goalkeeper and is perilously close to taking the ball across his own line. Toni and De Rossi link up and De Rossi's diving header is well saved. Zambrotta forces the ball across goal and is almost an own goal and then Zambrotta again gets the ball across and is hooked away for a corner.

Romania then win a rather curious penalty, Mutu steps up and Buffon makes an unbelievable save to keep the scores level. Italy desperately search for a winner but they draw and Italy V France will be a huge game.

Pleat really is terrible. He just seems to add letters to names.

Davis Pleat is completely incapable of pronouncing Camoranesi's name.

Italy are f**ked now

Yeah, looking at the replay, he is quite a way onside and even the other guy was onside too. The Romanian was too slow getting out.

He was nowhere near offside. Del Piero might have been but even he looked level.

Italy doing the early running but Mutu had arguably the best chance in the first 15 minutes when he broke free and Buffon made a good save. Tamas smacks a low shot which Buffon had to push away. Chivu's free kick is deflected off the post and back into the centre of the box but it's hooked clear.

Nothing really coming off for Italy and Romania look the more threatening team. Some good defending thwarts another Italy effort and Italy finally get the keeper to work when Toni's header is saved. Within seconds of that, a knock down is scrambled away and Romania look like they are hanging on a bit.

Italy get the ball in the net from Toni's header but is given offside although it looked very onside. Italy have it all to do in the 2nd half.
