Mine won't be here for another 3 months - but then I have ordered the much better 4 disc version for an extra fiver.

"2 hours of special features"? Bah! I won't settle for anything less than the 6+ I'll be getting. It's just a shame that the extended version of the film is spread over the first 2 discs.

Go to a search engine such as Google and type in "DVD Multiregion button codes" as your search, with even your DVD Brand and model number next to that if you want, the result is thousands of Remote control codes for DVD Models. And it is 100% legal too.

Darn it I could have got the R1 vrs oh well i will have to settle for the R2 vrs.
It always seems though that the R1 vrs have more features then the R2 vrs think we are getting ripped off again and they got the cheek to charge us with vat too.

I got my R1 copy on Saturday and have watched all of the features. If you have a Multi-Region DVD player get the R1 version as looking at the information for both versions the R1 version has more features.

Also got my copy of Resident Evil R1 on Friday and watched that on Saturday.

The American and European release of the LOTR on DVD is August 6th.
The same day!!, some places are in fact releasing the discs earlier than they are supposed to, August 6th is only Recommended date for the sale worldwide of the DVD. Check the American supermarket- www.walmart.com All Company Warehouse stockists in Europe though, should actually have had the Region 2 DVD since last week and are holding out for the August 6th date.
