To add insult to injury, I've recently signed up for an SSBM tourney at my local games shop and I really need to work on my game.
Any generaly tips/advice that can be given will be greatly appreciated! Who's the best character to use? I'm quite good at using Bowser or Samus. Are they good choices? HELP ME...PLEASE!!!
Link's another good option, though I prefer young Link cause he's faster.
Not one to argue with opinion, but there is summat wrong here.........
Captin Falcon: Excellent character, quick, good moves and nothing with stands the falcon punch!
Young Link: I prefer him to adult Link, I've found that his moves are slightly better (especially his spin, up + b).
Link: Not as good as Young Link (in my view) but his moves are very strong
Mario: His moves are good but he doesn't have what I would call a finisher move (like Falcon's punch)
Ganaondorf: Like Falcon but slower
Hope i've been of some help!
P.S Don't use Jiggylypuff
> Ganaondorf: Like Falcon but slower
Actually he's exactly the same, all his smash's and special moves are identical, except with him they take longer to charge up, but are stronger. Look at the Warlock Punch, that's much stronger than the Falcon Punch but takes a second longer to charge up.
Also do not on any cost be Pikachu, have you heard the chant for him? damn I felt like punching my TV. Pika-Pika-Pikachu Pika-Pika-Pikachu SHUT-UP ALREADY.
his 'A' smash moves are pretty good as well, and his general movement speed is good. to win you are going to have to learn to dodge attacks, even if you only dodge sideways on the floor(shielding, then a direction) but if you can dodge in the air(L or R in the air) then you will dodge many more attacks, making you last a lot longer. another advantage of dk is he doesn't get knocked very far, but this also means that you can get hit by multiple attacks before you get knocked away form an enemy, so its also a disadvantage.
just practise with a variety of characters in practice mode to get better

"Roys our boy, Roys our boy..."
He kicks more @®$£ than everyone else!
He looks like bubble gum with a face too.
(Well really, his moves are really good, he's fast and he has 5 jumps at one time.)
